Once Andrew Pierce and Ashley Hudson met at their church in Hamburg they realized that there was no turning back. Ashley Hudson was only 17 and had never had a girlfriend before, so they took their time. However, it was true love at first sight. Andrew was praying to God during New Year's Day just before 2016 began. Andrew asked God to grant him one last blessing for the year to see Ashley decide to marry him and that she would be married. Ashley was looking for a rustic folk-themed wedding that truly represented her as well as Andrew. The wedding was a mix of everything they loved. Ashley was born on 40 acres that were chosen as the venue. Ashley was familiar with the whole area, exploring it, and playing on the land. Andrew and Ashley have also explored the area multiple times before they started dating. The importance of personalization was that Andrew and Ashley did the majority of it by themselves. Andrew and Ashley's dad created the ceremony arch and the seating area, while Ashley did a great deal of decorating and painting.
